Prof. Dr Györgyi Nyikos is public finance management, EU cohesion policy and finance expert, lawyer and economist, professor and head of department at the University of Public Service in Hungary and Executive Director of the National Data Asset Management Agency. She was formerly head of the EU Competence Centre at MFB Hungarian Development Bank Ltd., cohesion policy first counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU in Brussels, Deputy State Secretary for Development Affairs and the Hungarian Deputy Governor of the Governing Council of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Before that she had the position of the general counsel of the Office of Fiscal Council Republic of Hungary and prior to that vice-president for public administration at the National Office for Regional Development. Her research interests include financing instruments, public finance, EU cohesion/regional policy.
