Dr. Francesca Soro is a Scientist at the Center for Digital Safety and Security at the Austrian Institute of Technology. She obtained her PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy in January 2022. Her research mainly focuses on big data and machine learning applications in the field of network traffic monitoring and cybersecurity for critical infrastructures, with the aim of detecting anomalies and rare events. Dr Soro collaborated in delivering several hands-on cybersecurity exercises for organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
