Guodong Wang received his Ph.D. in computer science from Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, Austria, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. He is the managing director of Sino-Austria Research Institute for Intelligent Industries in Nanjing, where the R&D team focuses on AI, Edge Intelligence, IoT, and industrial applications. He is also serving the role as an industrial professor at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, member of ACM SIGBED China Youth Committee. Before joining the research institute, he worked as a postdoc researcher at Vienna University of Technology, visiting scholar at University of Cambridge, and Vice Chief Engineer at Shanghai Institute of Computing Technology. His main research interests include learning representation, automated machine learning and deep learning.
