Carmen Grabuschnig holds a Ph.D. degree in sociology from the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris, and she is a former lecturer of political science at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. Currently she is working as an independent researcher. Her research topics include totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, resistance movements, youth groups, freedom of expression, censorship and social conformism.
