Dirk Arendt

Dirk Arendt has been Head of Government, Public & Healthcare at Trend Micro in Germany since September 2021, and has been Director Government & Public DACH since January 2024. He is thus responsible for public clients at all political levels, the church and welfare sector as well as hospitals. Since these facilities are particularly in the focus of cyberattacks, he would like to raise awareness of the issue of IT security there and support them in protecting them.

After studying law, Arendt’s career led him to Trend Micro via various national and international management positions in science and business. The internationally active company headquartered in Japan is one of the world’s leading providers of IT security. Backed by decades of security expertise, global threat research, and continuous innovation, Trend Micro’s cybersecurity platform protects hundreds of thousands of organizations and millions of people worldwide across clouds, networks, devices, and endpoints.

Dirk Arendt is a permanent member of the editorial advisory board of eGoverment Computing, the newspaper for IT-supported administration of municipalities and the state of the publishing house Vogel Business Media. Prior to joining Trend Micro, he was responsible for the Public Sector business area and political communications for the Israeli company Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.
