Dr. Alexander Schindler is thematic coordinator for Data Science at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. His research focuses on multi-modal artificial intelligence, leading teams in Audio analysis and Natural Language Processing. As a senior scientist at the Center for Digital Safety and Security, Alexander investigates advanced indexing and retrieval methods for large-scale, heterogeneous, and unstructured data. He is also involved in teaching and student supervision at the TU-Vienna. Alexander’s research interests include information retrieval, multi- and cross-modal retrieval, audio analytics and natural language processing. He actively reviews scientific journals and conferences, and organizes events in his research field. With extensive experience in Software Engineering across various companies and international projects, Alexander brings practical expertise to his work.
