Eman Alawadhi

Eman currently serves as the Vice President of Network and Cyber Security at Expo City Dubai, a legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai devoted to pioneering sustainable and innovative technology for cities of the future. She Leads five key verticals: Network Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Physical Security Technology, Integrated Operations, and Technology Acceleration. She adeptly blends business acumen with technical expertise, ensuring that advanced technologies not only drive business but also enrich our daily lives, with a keen focus on commercialization and sustainability.

Formerly, Eman held the position of Vice President of Cyber Security and Resilience at Expo 2020 Dubai, where she spearheaded the implementation of the most advanced cyber-security strategy ever seen at r a World Expo. In today’s digital era, her paramount responsibility was to safeguard Expo 2020’s technology infrastructure and data integrity, along with ensuring the privacy of visitor, participant, and volunteer data.

Eman is a prominent spokesperson for Expo City Dubai, representing the organization in both local and international media outlets. Renowned as a seasoned public speaker, she captivates audiences at global conferences, offering profound insights into cybersecurity, mega event management, and technology operations.

With over 16 years of experience in the technology sector, Eman is a strategic leader with a proven track record in driving growth, optimizing operations, and delivering tangible results. Eman Ccommenced her career as a Network Security Engineer in the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority’s UAE Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT).

She was honored with the UAE’s Prime Minister Medal by the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program for the category of distinguished employee during her career at the TRA.

Recognized for her significant contributions to cybersecurity, Eman actively participates in judging committees for various security competitions in the UAE and is a sought-after speaker at local and international conferences. Eman collaborates with esteemed institutions such as the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), serving as an instructor for cybersecurity courses in the nuclear industry. Additionally, she has mentored many aspiring women in the cybersecurity and technology fields.

Eman holds esteemed positions on the American University of Sharjah Computer Science and Engineering Advisory Board and the National Advisory Council for the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University.

A graduate of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development, she holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the American University of Sharjah and a Master’s degree in Information Security from Khalifa University.

Eman has also contributed to the academic discourse with her publication in the IEEE GCC conference and exhibition, titled “Assessing the Security of Cloud Environment.”
