Manfred Pinnegger has 30 years of professional experience in the field of security both as a police officer in Austria and in international security related projects. From October 2021 to July 2023 he was a seconded national expert to the EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) in the Ukraine and served as a National State Security Adviser & Trainer. He is interested in security and risk management research, the development of innovative security concepts and the practical implementation of internationally recognised security standards in companies and organisations, including the need-specific education and training programmes for staff qualification required for this. He is also involved in university teaching and works on a voluntary basis at the Austrian Standards Institute in the field of international standardisation for risk management and as a board member for the topics of education and training, standardisation and digitalisation in the non-profit Association of Academic Security Consultants of Austria.
