Margherita Natali is Associate Programme Officer with the Border and Security Management Unit of United Nation Counter Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) within the UN Office on Counter Terrorism (UNOCT). Prior to joining UNOCT, Margherita worked in the fields of countering terrorism and cybercrime at UNODC and at the IAEA in Vienna and at the Italian national Police (Arma dei Carabinieri). She is currently the project lead of the UNCCT-UNCTED joint initiative that aims to enhance awareness and build capacities relating to the responsible use and sharing of biometrics in counter terrorism to over 75 Member States on a global scale.
She holds an LLM in International Criminal Law and two years of experience as Associate Professor in Data Protection Law.
