Sworn officer in the Netherlands Police, Central Unit

​Career ; starting ” on the beat” working in his hometown,the city of Utrecht, having various roles as team leader in front line police units, environmental crime units and homicide teams.

​​When joining the Central Unit the city was replaced by a more global environment as he worked as team leader covert/ special operations .

​​Since 2012 the full time Core group leader of ENLETS managing the portfolio of this European network which holds nearly all EU MS. ENLETS shares best practices, stimulates research and activates co-creation.

​ENLETS is active in front line policing, Public Protection and crime and act as a hub for the Member states but also enabling opportunities in eg European funding.

​​In previous years the Chair of the H2020 Security Advisory Group (CERIS).

​At date project coordinator of the H2020 project I-Lead (Innovation Law Enforcement Agencies Dialogue) in which law enforcement, industry and academia are working collaboratively to scan and identify solutions for law enforcement. In parallel project coordinator of the Quick Response for Operational Centers Project (QR-OC) in which member states Operational centers are establishing the cross border exchange of data, as well as looking into innovative technology.

​Besides he is is active in the Community of European Research for innovation for Security (CERIS) a European Commission initiative
