Ronan Hamon is a scientific project officer with Joint Research Centre of the European Commission located in Ispra, Italy. His current research interests focus on robustness, security and explainability of artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as on applications of machine learning in cybersecurity and automated driving. He received an engineering degree in applied mathematics in 2012 from INSA Toulouse, France, and a Ph.D. in physics in 2015 from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, on the analysis of transport networks using data-driven approaches. He was awarded the 2016 Abertis prize for his research work.
Before working at the European Commission, Ronan Hamon has been a researcher at Aix-Marseille University and at CMRE NATO La Spezia, working on topics related to computer vision, audio processing, and underwater acoustics.
