Verena Krawarik is responsible for innovation management at the Austria Press Agency and heads the APA-medialab. In this function she is responsible for the innovation strategy as well as for strategic industry initiatives. Most recently, she was in charge of projects such as the development of the joint login system for media “MediaKey” or the preparation of the industry study “AI.AT.Media” on the topic of artificial intelligence in the media industry. She currently chairs the APA Group’s internal AI Task Force. Verena Krawarik has her professional roots in journalism and worked for many years in the APA editorial department as managing editor of the internet platform APA-Science.
