IDSF – Speaker Profile

Albina Yakubova

Professional staff with over 20 years of experience in implementing UNODC and OSCE technical assistance projects on drug control, crime/terrorism prevention, border security and management.

Over the past nine years she has been working for the OSCE Transnational Threats Department Border Security and Management Unit and the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center’s Forum for Security and Cooperation in professional programmatic and thematic capacities. Expertise on international legal instruments, terrorism prevention, border security and management, conventional arms control, project management, transferring expert knowledge and efficient practices, professional communication on all levels stand out among her skills and know-how.

Since last year she is appointed as TNTD/BSMU focal point on border security and management portfolio related to Central Asia and Afghanistan and Project Co-ordinator of the OSCE project “Strengthening the Resilience of Uzbekistan to Address Cross-Border Challenges Emanating from Afghanistan”.

Albina is a holder of two Master Degrees in Criminal Law and the European Law a number of certified trainings in the above-mentioned thematic areas.
