Arantxa Ortiz

Arantxa Ortiz is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at Brandeis University and a guest researcher at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University. Their ethnographic work examines the digitalization and securitization of personal identity and their impact on the development of identity infrastructures (such as municipal IDs and driver’s licenses) for marginalized groups in the United States and the Netherlands.
