Mrs. Desislava Spassova, LL.M., is a nuclear legal expert, specialised in nuclear security, with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and a lecturer in Nuclear Security Law. She is also a founding partner at a company providing consulting services in the power sector and a managing partner at a law firm, both based in Bulgaria. As a nuclear law expert, she had the opportunity to assist States in different regions of the world in establishing and amending their national legal framework for the peaceful, safe and secure use of nuclear applications. Desislava holds a master’s degree in Law from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and a university diploma in International Nuclear Law from the University of Montpellier. Her spare time is dedicated to sport and cooking with her family.
