Insuk Kim

She is the President of KDGW(Koreanisch-Deutsche Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftswissenschaften).

From 1987 to 1996, she earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Economics from the University of Cologne, Germany. During this time, she was a Naumann (FNF) Scholar for seven years, actively participating in various seminars and workshops.

Her professional work has focused on corporate consulting and policy development in the fields of resource circulation and climate change, with a particular emphasis on introducing German and European models. Since 2015, she has attended Hannover Messe annually and has authored a book on Germany’s Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In 2019, inspired by the Gaia-X philosophy, she produced a YouTube video on the topic, which attracted over 160,000 views. She is currently involved in joint Gaia-X use case initiatives between Europe and Korea, connecting Korean companies to the European community in sectors such as smart cities, manufacturing, healthcare, and energy. Additionally, she is engaged in efforts to address compatibility issues in the field of compliance.
