Anahid Jalali is a data scientist at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). She received her Master’s degree from the Technical University of Vienna, where her thesis focused on deep learning applications on Acoustic Sound Event Detection and Classification. She continues her research during her Ph.D. and focuses on machine learning in several areas such as speech analysis and recognition, audio scene and anomaly detection, sensor data modeling in industrial applications, and the explainability of these models. Moreover, she is a member of WoMENAIT-Vienna (Women of the Middle East and North Africa in Technology), where they promote women to pursue their education and career in technical fields.
